Job Description

You are an expert facilitator: you open doors, foster communication, and bridge the gap.

The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) will support Syneos Health and Johnson & Johnson partnership in promoting CAPLYTA, managing designated accounts across an assigned geography.

The Patient Access Liaison will execute the collaborative territory strategic plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, which may include sales, market access, and other collaboration partners. Responsibilities include ensuring understanding of reimbursement process, field reimbursement services, and patient support programs. The Patient Access Liaison will also work on patient-level reimbursement issue resolution.

  • Educate HCPs on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and coding requirements of payer organizations (local payers, government payers, etc.)
  • Collaborate with field support team members such as sales representatives and key account managers and serve as reimbursement expert for the local team
  • Act with a sense of urgency to address critical access and affordability issues for patients
  • Analyze reimbursement and access issues and act as the local access and reimbursement resource for other field force personnel and region management
  • Proactively provide approved education to defined accounts within a given territory on matters related to reimbursement, access and coverage to facilitate appropriate patient access
  • Execute business in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including timely and successful completion of all required training

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device experience
  • 2+ years of experience in reimbursement is required
  • Neurology/CNS disease experience is required
  • Ability to solve access issues related to both specialty pharmacy and medical benefit products
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required
