Heavy Equipment Operator – Engel Excavating

Engel Excavating is a growing civil construction contractor performing earthwork, mass grading, demolition, and wet utilities throughout Wisconsin and the UP (Michigan). We are seeking talented, experienced operators to join our team! We are a union signatory contractor based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Primary Work
• Operate excavators, dozers, and loaders on various site work projects
• Earthwork, mass grading, underground wet utilities
• Daily machine inspections and basic maintenance
• Report directly to foremen and work with crews to complete projects safely

What You Can Expect
• 8–12 hour days typical, M-F with occasional weekends
• Maintained, late-model equipment
• Per diem for travel over 90 miles
• Union pay scale and benefits

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles and the ability to operate machinery in various conditions
• Basic understanding of grades and construction drawings
• Understand and follow site safety requirements
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• Ability to work outdoors and travel 5 days per week (home on weekends)
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
