The Interventional Radiologist (IR) technologist will perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including assisting with stents, angioplasties, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasties, biopsies, drainages, and vascular/neurological studies. The role requires experience with Siemens and Phillips X-ray equipment and involves rotating primary and backup call duties to ensure round-the-clock coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all IR procedures including stents, angioplasties, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasties, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abd and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access and neurological studies.
- Operate Siemens and Phillips X-ray equipment.
- Rotate primary and backup call duties.
- Assist with stroke intervention and body procedures.
- Collect patient data and specimens.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs.
- Communicate patient status and report changes in condition to licensed professionals.
- Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an IR technologist.
- Traveler experience.
- Neuro experience.
- Inpatient hospital experience.
- Experience with PACS and contrast.
- Experience with Siemens and Phillips X-ray equipment.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT Advanced Certification.
- Experience with EPIC and McKesson.
- Experience with Acuson equipment.
Special Considerations:
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
- Call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in cancellation and DNR.
- Primary call is approximately one day every 4 weeks and one weekend every 5-6 weeks.
- Backup call is approximately 7 days (including a weekend) every 9 weeks.
- Must be available for hospital orientation classes during the first week.
Scheduling:
- First shift, staggered start time between 0700 and 0830.
- 4x10-hour shifts per week, Monday-Friday.
- Day off will vary each week.
- Weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation.
