Job Description

Camp Counselors create safe, fun, and age-appropriate activities for children up to 12 years old. They help make every child’s vacation exciting and memorable.

Responsibilities

Be friendly, caring, and positive with kids and parents.; Supervise children and keep them safe during activities.; Keep play areas clean and organized.; Assist with children’s hygiene needs (diapering, handwashing, etc.).; Complete training and follow all Carnival rules and safety policies.; Help with waterslide operations and other scheduled activities (meals, shows, holiday events, etc.).; Report incidents to the Youth Director.; Manage camp supplies and keep track of inventory.; Follow uniform and hygiene standards.; Be willing to step in as an Animator/Character performer if needed.; Perform CPR and First Aid when required.;

Qualifications

Must be 21 years or older.; At least 2 years of experience working with children.; Education or certification in childcare, education, psychology, or related fields preferred.;

Experience

Working in childcare or youth programs.; Leading groups of children (sports, camps, after-school programs).; Creative or artistic background is a plus.;

Additional Requirements

Comfortable working with children ages 2–11; Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).; Outgoing, energetic, and able to lead large groups.; Strong hospitality and guest service skills.; Valid CPR and First Aid certification.;

Candidates are expected to work on board an international cruise ship.
