Artist Assistant (On-Site) – Flakeb00k

Bushwick, Brooklyn | Fridays 1–3PM | $20/hr

Flakeb00k is an evolving art practice working across painting, books, installations, merch, and experimental fabrication — blending street culture with physical craft and digital process.

We’re looking for an Artist Assistant to work on-site Fridays from 1–3PM inside the studio.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be around the process.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with artwork production + framing
• Documenting projects (photo/video)
• Supporting studio installations + builds
• Light admin + marketing support
• Laser engraving
• CNC milling
• Fabric / material-based design
• General studio upkeep (cleaning, organizing, resetting space)

Requirements

• Must be able to commute to Bushwick, Brooklyn
• Must have a genuine passion for art, making, and creative culture
• Interest in hands-on fabrication + experimental processes
• Respect for the Flakeb00k aesthetic and creative direction
• Reliable, on time, and ready to work

Compensation

• $20/hour
• 2 hours per week (Fridays 1–3PM)
• Potential for more hours / involvement if it’s a strong fit
