Anesthesiologist – Southwest North Dakota | Earn Up to $800K + $50K Sign-On Bonus | W2 or 1099 Options Available

Position Overview

We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Anesthesiologist to deliver full-scope anesthesia care in a modern surgical environment. This role offers clinical variety including orthopedic surgery, OB/GYN procedures, ophthalmology cases, and general surgery. Practice independently while supported by a patient-centered, safety-focused healthcare team committed to clinical excellence and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical procedures
  • Provide anesthesia services for orthopedic, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, and general surgery cases
  • Perform advanced procedures including nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubation
  • Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and manage hemodynamic stability
  • Deliver post-operative anesthesia care and pain management services
  • Participate in call rotation (1:5 schedule) to ensure 24/7 anesthesia coverage
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR system
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of accredited Anesthesiology residency program
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience
  • Active or eligible medical license to practice in North Dakota
  • Current DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology by ABA
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques, nerve blocks, and airway management
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with commitment to patient safety
  • Compassionate approach to patient care

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week
  • Clinical hours: 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Call rotation: 1 in 5 (1:5)

Compensation and Benefits
