Position Title: Teacher

Status : Full-Time, Exempt

Reports to : Principal

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and faith-filled 6th Grade Math Teacher to join our Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will foster strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in students, while supporting their spiritual, moral, and academic growth in alignment with Catholic values. Candidates are not required to be Catholic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction, including topics such as ratios, fractions, decimals, expressions, equations, and introductory geometry
• Promote critical thinking, perseverance, and a growth mindset in mathematics
• Integrate Catholic values and Gospel teachings into classroom culture and interactions
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use data and assessments to inform instruction and provide targeted support
• Create a structured, positive, and respectful classroom environment
• Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success
• Participate in school Masses, prayer services, and community events

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification (state licensure required)
• Strong content knowledge in upper elementary/middle school mathematics
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
• Practicing Catholic preferred or willingness to support the Catholic identity of the school
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience teaching upper elementary or middle school math (5th–7th grade)
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and math intervention strategies
• Ability to make math engaging, relevant, and accessible to all learners
• Experience integrating technology and hands-on learning into math instruction
